I’m glad they deleted the baby Yoda tweet. Bishops should show some gravitas in this context, especially with the issues in the Church and world they are called to confront.
It won’t happen, but I read a priest request the restoration of Friday penance and rogation and ember days, which are good to accompany our prayers of deliverance from a pandemic, are good for the environment, and are generally good spiritually as witness to Christ and for the health and purgation of the Church and society. These are also some of the very few things of actual force and substance that a bishops’ conference can actually do.
