The Vatican in Muslim Europe

I know the topic is about Muslims in Europe, but I have also heard there is a growing Muslim population in Africa.

About a year or so ago, a bishop from Nigeria spoke at my Church about Muslims winning the fight against Catholics. He said they are spreading much more agressively and warned the Pope about this. Does anyone know if this is mainly a Nigerian issue or is this occurring all over Africa?

How in the world can you people deride Islam for calling itself a Religion of Peace, while you claim to espouse a Religion of Love without choking?

Ugh. The views expressed in this thread certainly do not reflect well on those members of Christianity who actually are loving and charitable. Such slanders and hatreds themselves breed and fester like flies and maggots. The all-but-naked racism is a nice touch too.

Were I a Christian, I would be ashamed to share a religion with people who speak this way. As it is, I am ashamed to share a species.
 
If the Muslims ever took over Europe they would probably sack the Vatican, behead the entire Papal court, go about raping nuns and spend their loot on hashish.
 
Well, take hope, Christianity all started with Jesus and 12 apostles. It’s been a lot more threatened that it is today. Great Saints will rise up in our time, just as they have for centuries, and people will see the truth. I put my trust in God! 🙂
 
Popes did their job under the rule of a hostile pagan Rome, they were oftened martyred or sent to the salt mines. The papacy would survive under Muslim rule too.

That is a very unfortunate comparison, given their aversion to pigs. 😦​

The only porkies around are those told by the folk who try to appease Muslims by holding their own faith cheap - which Muslims have not asked them to do. One does not expect Muslims to be pro-Christian - one does rather take for granted that Catholic bishops will be: they are the ones who should be roasted when they cosy up to Islam & stab Catholics in the back. They are just like those prelates, not that long ago, who loved Communists so much that they denied that their fellow-Christians were being tortured for Christ; they supped with Communists, & not with the persecuted members of Christ. Sometimes it seems that clergy are a plague from the depths of the abyss, sent to torment Christians for their sins.
 
St Peters can be turned into a mosque just like the Hagia Sophia. Stop defending Islam and Muslims and start defending your beliefs.

Islam is the only religion that specifically calls for the oppression of Christians in its holiest scripture.

I don’t know what you mean by “explain how that scenario works” - are you asking why I’d think that you’re talking about Christianity? That’s because there have been abuses - but I don’t believe that it was the whole Church. And while I am not too versed in the history of the middle ages I’ve heard that the Church has consistently refused forced baptism.

Did you know that Muhammad committed pogroms against the Jews of Arabia? Have you wondered what happened to them?

Did you know that the Moor of Andalucia would conduct a pogrom every now and then. But then again, since it is Muslims who kill Jews, no comment is every made.

Yes, being Jewish, I’m completely ignorant of the history of the Jewish people, especially currently in Israel, of course.
 
Just so you realize that Muhammad was the one responsible for pogroming the Jews of Arabia out of existence, and that the Christian pogroms were preceded by the Muslim ones. Some people here have the romanticized view of Muslims as some sort of virtuous heroes who never oppressed nor killed anyone in the name of their god, ACCORDING TO THE TEACHINGS OF THEIR PROPHET, from the Ganges River to the Atlantic ocean, from the Danube to the Zanzibar River. It is always those evil Christians who are forever pogroming Jews. The Muslims never did any such things - such is Islam the religion of peace.

Yes, in my experience the Western self-flagellation must cease. It is all too common to decry people who bring up Muslim pogroms, including Muhammad’s genocide of the Jews of Arabia, as haters, islamophobes, bigots and bin-laden types.

But then again, those people find it fair game to bring up Christian pogroms. Funny world we live in. Petty not many people are laughing.
