Every single one of us are sinners. For sure we can come under the attack of Satan and his demons. And, just as surely, we can delightfully sin all of our own choosing.

Satan wins each battle for our eternal spirit when we ultimately refuse Christ. Satan wins each battle for our eternal spirit when we ultimately refuse to repent of our sins.

We ultimately lose the battle when our pride takes over because it is so easy to think what we do “doesn’t matter” and we think that we have plenty of time left for that “Jesus” thing.

The narrow gate is repentence and acceptance of Christ as Savior. This is universal and crosses all denominations and can be held in secret in the hearts of those who are in mortal danger of their lives if admitted publically(and may God bless them).

It is my prayer that all who die and truly have not been given The Word can yet be saved by the Almighty And Just God in such Ways that are possible only with Him.

Those who are condemned to hell walk their way right down to that place.

Boss10L,
Interesting comments. Especially about atheists being so generous with their fellow man. That comment tells me that you really aren’t atheistic in belief. For it dosen’t follow logically. Because given that there is no divine being, why would someone not just steal, lie, cheat, murder, for their own gain now because there is nothing after death. To me it just dosen’t make good reasoning. So if someone says to me they are atheistic in belief and yet I see them as good toward others, then they are not really being honest with themselves.
Even St. Paul says something like that when he says, if Christ had not arisen, then our faith is indeed for nothing. And I think St. Paul would say also that if there is no God, then indeed what good we do toward others is indeed for nothing. So I believe that atheists are extreemly few tho there may be a number who profess that they are, but they aren’t in their heart which is pudding’s proof.

And the other comment: “why would an all knowing, all loving, all good God put his children in such a situation in the first place?” I believe we put ourselves there, that is when we don’t follow God’s loving instructions. For if God truely didn’t care, he would not even mess with us but just let us sink in our own natural way. I read everyday about murder(s) in the daily newspaper in our city. God(Jesus) tells us to love one another, even our enemies, and he even goes further by hanging on a crucifix for three hours to show us what love is and how much he does care for us. Yet, who still does the murdering? Just think how great and wonderful our world would be if everyone watched out for everyone else. That is what Jesus advocates. And that is what he himself did. I believe what has happened to our worldly neighborhood is that it has become a getto the same way every other getto is made, by ignoring our loving God, Jesus, and obeying the devil’s command, do it to others before they do it to you.

Just some thoughts.
May God bless and keep you. May God’s face shine on you. May God be kind to you and give you peace.

Thanks for the kind words. I have to take issue though with your assertion that the only reason people behave is because of the threat of eternal damnation or other such religious-based punishment. I mean, just from a societal standpoint, I would think a lifetime in jail or a death sentence would be enough for most people to dissuade them from taking a life.

Now as far as I’m concerned, I treat others how I wish to be treated because it’s the right thing to do. No dogma or other reason needed for me. I don’t fear death or whatever might come (or not come) after it. I do, however, fear going to the grave thinking I didn’t live this life to its fullest, and that includes helping my fellow inhabitants on this planet as much as I can.

Peace be upon you, brother.
