We went to Mass last night where the washing of the feet took place. I was very touched with the sincerity with which our Father Dave performed this act. I can’t say enough about this good man, our priest in residence. I imagined Our Lord during the reading when He said that He was going to do this to the apostles and their reaction to it. That got me to thinking about what were some of His most private thoughts were as He spent this last night with His diciples. At times during the night was He thinking about the trials that were to come? Did He and the apostles laugh at some of the silly things that must have happened during the times they were together? Was Our Lord concerned for the apostles and the trials that they would have to endure in the future? Was there a sense of joy that He would soon be at the right hand of the Father? All in all, these days of holy week have truly helped me broaden my sense of what Our Lord did for us. We are not alone! Thank you Lord.
