I would buy it, based on the customer reviews, if I were wanting a book about being peaceful. The two negative reviews were not based on the book but were against Fr. Morrisey himself–his having been in the Legion of Christ, and the other for some comments he made about the situation in the Middle East.

Several of the reviewers said they had or were planning to buy copies to give to other people, and I think that’s always a good sign 🙂

The book is seems to be mostly a reflection on the Serenity Prayer, and steps to take to feel more peaceful.
 
Is it Morris or Morrisey? Want to make sure we are talking about the right person.

Father Morris talks on FOX news regarding Catholic topics - correct?
Is this who we are speaking of?

I read his first book and it was good.

What did he say about the Middle East that was controversial?
 
I was also interested in his book until I read the negative review and followed the link to “church militant” which is 100% pro-Magisterium. Now I am skeptical. He was a waiter/attendant for a priest in the Legions of Christ who was abusive and fathered many children. Not that he was involved or knew about it. But he was transferred and now he works for Cardinal Dolan who is condoning the gay entry into the St Patrick’s parade. I’m just questioning.

Is the source at the Church Militant an ordained Priest??

Would not countless others, priests included, be in the employ of Cardinal Dolan? I would think so.

I have also seen him speak on TV, he seems to stand up for Catholic values. I always enjoy hearing him speak and it is refreshing to see such a face on popular TV. When the last Pontiff steps down or there are other Catholic issues, he is the go to guy but I think he is even a regular on some Fox News Shows, maybe one of the Sunday morning shows.

Newsmax has a Priest that comes on too though I’m not sure when he is on.

I’m not sure the other networks have Priests on regularly, I do believe I may have seen one on CNN as a guest one time.

No, the church militant is not an ordained priest. In fact, I do not know too much about him, just that there was a news story about Fr. Morris on his website. I agree with what you said about the positive nature of Fr. Morris’ appearance on the news shows. Thank you for your response. I like to research books before I buy/read them. I am also a huge fan of Catholic Answers and pretty much heed everything they say!
 
Sounds like a good read. I like Fr. Morris, since I’m a non conservative Fr. Morris makes watching FOX news more enjoyable.
 
I enjoy watching Father Morris on Fox, Fox surely has a number of Catholic commentators, Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Judge Jeannine Pirlo, Judge Andrew Napolitano, I’d say there is probably a good chance even Megan Kelly is Catholic, possibly Greta as well. Pro-Life, Pro-Family and Pro-Catholic values are often on display even though I don’t get to see the shows very often. Of course, it is much more complex than saying, “I’m Catholic and this is what I think on the issues”. My niece calls it EWTN 2. :rotfl:

I doubt if they were born Scientologists so now they are. Interesting. Her father apparently knew Senator McCarthy as well.

I probably forgot to mention who is perceived as being a Devout Catholic on the staff at FNC, probably because he has made his mark more on the business end. So that is another one.
