Hi

I think it was only the privilige of Paul to put words into the mouth of Jesus; when Jesus had gone to India after the incident of Crucifixion in which he luckily survived with the grace of GodAllahYHWH, in my opinion.

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran.

Thanks
PaarSurrey, Jesus could indeed have gone to India or anywhere else after He rose from the dead. As to his physical body, it died on the cross. It was buried in Israel. And it rose from the dead. Read the New Testament of Christians. It is their Scripture. I repeat Mohammad was born in 570 AD in Mecca and Jesus was crucified in 33 AD in Israel.

The New Testament does not consist only of the letters of Apostle Paul. You will notice there are four Gospels and other letters which make up the New Testament.

Hi

Jesus only resusicated or revived from the unconsciousness due to injuries inflicted upon him on the Cross; when he came out from the tomb himself or with the aid of his friends; he had the same physical body as on the Cross or before. Doubting Thomas verified by putting his fingers in the wounds still fresh but recovered. Jesus also wanted to make them believe that he was not a ghost; that is why he ate fish with them, he ate with them, drank with them , slept with them, walked with them, like a normal human being . Jesus even feared like the human beings from the Jews lest they may catch him, arrest him and kill him again.

He did not want that he should be caught hold of as he had planned to go to India from Galilee where he called a meeting of his friends. From there alongwith Mary he went to India. He journeyed like a human being.

It is only an imagination of Paul and his followers that he died on Cross; paul might have had another agenda different from Jesus, in my opinion.

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran.

Thanks

Paarsurrey, all those details are written in the Quran? Not in the one I read, I’m afraid. The one I read is an official version. So where are you getting it from?

Paarsurrey, do you notice you go on and on about Paul but you completely ignore the Four Gospels and other letters in the New Testament? Why?

PaarSurrey, Jesus did appear to His disciples several times after Resurrection. But did you know when He appeared to Apostle Thomas, the disciples were in a closed room and He appeared without coming in through the door? That is how He appeared to disciples, defying the laws of nature after Resurrection. Apostle Thomas touched the hands and side of Jesus’ resurrected body. That is proof He was not a ghost. The fact that Jesus ate and drank with His disciples is another proof that He was resurrected and not a ghost.

Hi

Kindly quote the incident from NTBible, it cannot be in the OTBible for sure.

Thanks

Ben, if enough Jews had not been persuaded, there would be no Christianity today. Remember Jews spread Christianity in the beginning.
Believe me Thaikatti, Paul would have thought of something else. Jesus was not the only head of a Jewish sect in the First Century.

Ben: 🙂

Ben, if I remember my OT reading right, Jews were not allowed to intermarry. But they have. So as a result there are a lot more Jews than there would have been if they had not intermarried. That should amply make up for the Jews who converted to Christianity as a result of Jesus’ teaching and that of His disciples.

Christianity is a worldwide religion that is 2000 years old. Officially at least one third of the world population is Christian. You should be happy that they follow the religion of a Jew. There are many Jewish Rabbis who are.
Christianity is not the religion of a Jew. When Paul founded Christianity, he was no longer a Jew. He had quit being Jewish.

Now, with regads to intermarriage, that’s rather nother way to deplete Judaism of Jews.

Ben: :o

Oh I see, it’s only when I hypothesise that it’s TOO hypothetical - however wildly YOU hypothesise, YOUR hypothesis is of course truth.

And how did Paul, a strict Pharisee student of Gamaliel, come to not only be unmarried but write to his fellow Christians PRAISING the celibate state? That’s a pretty huge shift in thinking for one person to make.
Paul had quit being Jewish. He was a Christian since the Road to Damascus. Celibacy is a Christian thing.

I do not hypothesize. I speculate on evidences with the purpose to establish some logical order into confusion.

Ben: 🙂

Yes, I do get the idea Ben. There is mention of how Jesus’ mother conceived Him, how Joseph married Mary, where Jesus was born, how Joseph fled to escape Herod, how Jesus chose His disciples, how He went about from village to village preaching with His disciples, how He was betrayed etc etc. No mention of a marriage or wife.

No we don’t add to Jesus’ life what is not written in the NT. There is plenty written about His life. And it doesn’t include His marriage.
Are you ready to admit that Jesus was not perfect? That he did not fulfill all the Law? That he lied when he declared that he had come to fulfill the Law down to the dot of the letter? (Mat. 5:17-19) The first of the 613 commandments is to get married and father children.

Moreover, are you ready to expose Jesus credibility to the redicule of a man in his 30’s, rooming aound for almost four years
in the company of 12 guys, when the primary worry of the young men of his time was to get married in their 20’s? Mind you that the option is much worse. You should be joyful and pray that I am correct in my research about the Wedding of Jesus.

Ben: 👍

Ben, it is a pity that I’m not so familiar with OT to list Jewish prophets who were not married. But I do happen to know that there were more than one. Even if celibacy was not normal for the priesthood, it was not unknown among some prophets

Doesn’t it take two to get married? So if a Jew chooses to get married to a non-Jew how does it deplete Judaism of Jews? Don’t you have more Jews added to your ranks? All the Jews of different races in the world convinces me that Jews intermarried and there were conversions into Judaism. Liberal Jews in the US see intermarriage as a positive thing when there is conversion to Judaism as a result. Do you really believe that the 12 original tribes of Israel could have multiplied into so many Jews from so many nations and races without intermarriage?

Jesus Christ had 12 disciples. Apostle Peter was their chosen leader because Jesus appointed him. All of them went about preaching and converting. Paul was extra. Btw, Christianity came to my Hindu ancestors via Apostle Thomas. Some Jews lived in Kerala, India at the time and he is said to have come to Jews first and then to convert the Gentiles.

There must have been something special about the sect Jesus formed that it spread so far and wide and has become a world religion and lasted 2000 years. Why not rejoice about it as many Jewish Rabbis are doing?

Ben, you should research the OT and find out the name of Jewish prophets who did not marry. You will find real information there. Your “research” about Jesus’ marriage is merely your own imagination. Nothing is written in the NT.

As to “rooming” with 12 guys, I happen to be from India. In Hinduism celibacy was freely chosen by those who went in search of God. Buddha was a very young man, a prince with a young wife and a child, when he left everything and went in search of a way to find an answer to human suffering. After many years of intense meditation and spiritual practice he was enlightened. For over forty years after that he walked the length and breadth of India, teaching and preaching “rooming” with only men and thus founded Buddhism, a new religion. Buddhist monasteries with celibate monks is an integral part of Buddhism because Buddha founded it that way.

Like Jesus, Buddha had a band of male disciples who went with him. Neither Hindus nor Buddhists let their imagination run wild about what such “rooming” could have meant. Buddha had a spiritual mission to bring alleviation of suffering to as many people as he could. Jesus worked with the same kind of dedication to His mission on earth. He preached only for three years. It is quite reasonable to imagine that Jesus spent His time until the age of 30 to prepare for His ministry.

Maybe you should revise your wild imagination about “rooming.”

Paul did not found Christianity; Jesus did. Please get your facts straight and do not go by what the History Channel (and the Discovery Channel, for that matter) reports. Furthermore, Jesus told the Apostles right before His Ascension to go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. He gave them the great commission. When the Holy Spirit descended upon them during Pentecost, they went about preaching, teaching, baptizing and celebrating the Holy Eucharist.

Now, regarding intermarriage, God specifically prohibited Ancient Israel from engaging in this practice. He wanted Ancient Israel to be a people set apart. Intermarriage meant that strange customs (let alone, foreign gods) would be introduced to the people and this would put a wedge between themselves and the True God. Look what happened when Solomon had wives outside of Israel. His kingdom descended fairly quickly and his descendants were punished. The kingdom was torn into two, with the norhtern half obliterated by the Assyrians and Jerusalem (and the Temple) destroyed by the Babylonians.

With all due respect, before making outlandish claims, you should read what the Church teachings are. They may prove most enlightening as these are the revealed Truths given to us by Divine Revelation.

The Talmud endorses marriage and views celibacy negatively. negatively (TB 29 b; TB Yev. 62b, 63a;). I can’t recall if any of the prophets were unmarried. I know Hosea didn’t marry wisely.

inJESUS, many thanks for giving me the names of **celibate prophets:

Jeremiah and Eliah.**
