I never took a theology class. Is using the “wrong” terminology a heresy?
Neither have I. Yes, actually, if the term refers to a heresy. The Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus reverting back once the Eucharist is consumed is a heresy, and would mean that He doesn’t actually dwell within in us physically (which he does until the Eucharist breaks down, at which point he dwells within us spiritually).

As far as I can tell, you are saying just what I said, but with different words. I never said the “Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity” of Jesus reverts to the elements. I don’t believe that. The elements break down & Jesus is spiritually, not physically, with is.

You used the term “revert” which means “returns to”.

So are you saying that once the elements become the Body & Blood of Christ they never change from that?

It was my understanding that once digested, the little bits are simply bread & wine again.

As long as the accidents of bread and wine remain, Jesus is still there physically, body, blood, soul and divinity, they never revert back to being bread and wine. If you were to dilute the Precious Blood with more water than the Precious Blood, the accident of wine no longer is there, thus Jesus is no longer present. It’s the same with dissolving a consecrated host. If the accidents no longer exist, neither does the Real Presence, but the accidents can never revert back to bread and wine.

OK - here’s where my lack of Catholic education shows. Let me know if I’m right: Accidents=what something looks like. So how do the accidents change?

Given the texture of the typical parish Host, I’d be surprised if even a particle in the teeth lasted long enough to remain in time to be flossed. And even if it did, as noted above, no longer the “appearance of bread.”
Well, with braces I could see it happening. But a drink of water or just waiting would alleviate that concern.

if your moustache hairs are so long that they’re getting into the precious blood when you partake of the chalice, you need to either trim your 'stache or avoid the cup altogether.

Eeewww!
LOL:D
