I propose that when God communicates with us, he does so through the image of words.

“The Word was with God and the Word was God.”

When God appeared before Moses, he did so as fire, first because most were illiterate, but also because Judaism was to counteract the fire sacrifices of the pagans.

After God appeared to Moses in the form of fire, he sent him out to Canaan - the land of the Giants: the extraordinarily powerful half man half angel race, who only the “chosen” could defeat.

When has anyone had a vision of God that was just words?

Welcome to CAF.

Don’t you think that people can “sense” God? Not in the sense of “through our senses,” but by way of some kind of presence-feeling? As Infinite Being, I think God permeates and is coterminous with all of His creations in such a way that we sometimes marvel at how or why something occurred. For example, how did that 110 lb mom lift the side of a 2,200 lb car off her child, as we’ve read in the news, by herself?
