The words 'husband' and 'wife' are now 'gender neutral'

Sadly this does not surprise me at all.

This is not the America I grew up in. Maybe next we’ll have mothers marrying their daughters and fathers marrying their sons. Lovely.

This gay marriage bs is the most pathetic and ridiculous thing I have ever lived through in these declining times.

Reading further, not only is it insane–first they’re going to call two men husband and wife apparently, but later not???–but the Thought Police-ishness of the whole thing, determining what words people may and may not use, ought to scare anyone.

Nurses in Scotland cannot say Mum and Dad because it might offend someone somewhere? What about the fact that many mothers and fathers are going to be highly offended by being referred to as something other than what they are–the mother or father–or worse, as in Spain, being referred to as Progenitor A and Progenitor B.

Maybe it’s way past time more people start being offended by this insanity and objecting strongly to a nurse refusing to call them a mother to their child.

Except of course, that’s unlikely to happen because decent, nice, normal people know that it’s not the nurse’s fault and aren’t going to take it out on her for what the government/Thought Police are forcing her to do.
 
Someone ought to remind the Brits who are making these decisions that “mother” and “father” (as well as “husband” and “wife”) are terms based on biology, not on legal whims.

Isn’t it strange that those who are always touting science over religion are now blind to science because they wish to justify perversion of those scientific principles.

I had no clue Nurses in Scotland cannot say Mum and Dad. Now we can see where we are headed. Oh and Progenitor A and B…how lovely for a child to learn that as part of their first words.

Oh no Mary, children will be part of the collective. It isn’t RIGHT for people (especially ‘poor’ people) to keep having children and getting government MONEY. Children should be raised by a VILLAGE. . .schools will be made into nice little boarding places and the children will be raised by one big happy society to become productive little workers doing whatever society thinks they need to do.

Rich enough to have your child at home? You’ve EARNED the privilege. Of course, if little Muffy or Jimbo ever ‘fails’ at something, they can go to the collective. Hold THAT over their heads.

Want to buck the system? You’ll live off the grid in some place that you can fortify, probably with some like-minded people. Your kids might still rebel and go off to the collective, but at least you’ll have a CHANCE to teach them truth. Underground.

Britain is essentially Arabia west. The UK is paying for their abhorrent governments not to mention their “state churches” who over the years have quit proclaiming the word of God as to not offend anybody. Now their muslim populace has taken to beheading people in the streets. You asked for the wrath of God a long time ago Britain, but don’t feel special, the USA is fast catching up with you…sadly.:mad:
 
I don’t know what I find more disturbing: that government can simply change the definition of words to fit their own agenda, or that “equality” to some people means abandoning our own biological makeup.

Not for me they’re not. I will always use the terms and will never conform to psychotic ideas that society has come up with and will come up with in the future.
