Agree totally and watching the whole series within a few weeks… seeing Charlie get old so fast ! My word, that was a career! 30 years…and so much strong and realistic and wrenching focus on drug addiction etc.

I’m worried about even getting into purgatory … I am a sinner in need of mercy … comes with the territory of being 55 years old … and having lived on this earth … I don’t see a day go by where I am not in need of mercy. What I meant by my firsts remark was that I have already said too much bad about the gay lifestyle … I’m just trying my best to be more charitable today after just having received communion. I understand that people discuss this topic, and they have every right to … this is just a personal thing for me today.

Don’t know who else here is British but I find shows are all like that, stopped watching Coronation Street since most of the characters are gay now and has promoted euthanasia.
Other shows seem to be all about sex.
Satan definately has his influence on the writers of these shows and people in the entertainment industry.

I am English but living in deep rural Ireland and with no TV … used to be RC addicted then knocked that on the head before I left the UK… Corrie was created by a gay so hardly surprising… way back there was a transgender character…

But I know a dear intensely devout ady who spends all morning at and around mass then says she could not live without Coronation Street… hmmmmmm…

It is pandering to audience ratings which says a lot re us!Or their opinion of us

He also has a big big influence on the music industry. Nearly every popular singer nowadays promotes for gay rights in their concerts. I think the phrase they use is “equality for all, love is love”. When I read that singer’s are pushing this I think why? In the middle of their concerts as well? Talking about pushing the agenda.

So I arrive neatly at the right conclusion that yes,these are caring folk who do so much good BUT … a huge BUT…

And so rarely met in real life… one young mother in a nearby village is gay and one nitter woman is gay but in denial and has waged war on me for my faith… then there is the barrister I crossed swords with who is quite clearly gay, but married for career reasons… and once a man at my stall said he would go and get his husband…

The problem with it all is too that they take our faith as a personal insult?

Yeah, I know what you mean though I’ve known some decent gays and it was clear between us all that I liked them but could never condone their lifestyle.

OK when I have finished with Casualty! Think I have heard of Hollyoaks though and there are times when I prefer to look away!

Because of my long and much misunderstood illness I have been long away from the world and feel sometimes like Rip Van Winkle waking after decades asleep … the work my family do with the homeleess is actively helping and that is all I can do, and keep as well as I am able by being careful…

It reminded me of some kind of pagan fertility cult? Did not even realise the bulges were artificial until one pulled her dress up to show it. Looked like a whole garden full of largely pregnant women dressed for a wedding… Almost surreal…

Never heard of the free the nipple thing and I do not think I want to ! am heading for overload and may implode…

Just watched yet another episdoe preaching the gay agenda on family love, using a child and her voice this time…

The problem is that society today has forgotten that good people can do bad things and that bad people (serious sociopaths even) can also do good things. This is something that Catholicism handles better than any other aspect of Christianity and something we all need to remember.

The real issue is that society seems to have lost sight of the fact that there is such a thing as objective truth. If there isn’t such a thing then all morality is just situational ethics…which makes it all a waste of time and leaves all of us sitting around reinvention the wheel of our moral compass every moment of every day.

Has always been thus. Old saying give a dog a bad name and it sticks and nor do I think we ie RC handle it better than any other church. Not here in Ireland anyways.
