This is the title on one of the threads on a very anti Catholic site. They say that God killed all these poor people in Haiti because of the Catholics there. It is all our fault and that this is the judgement from God.
I wonder how they explain all the protestants over there who also died. If someone in their families or several get killed in an automobile accident or other disaster is that the judgement of God on them being protestant?
It is so ridiculous that sometimes reading their posts make a person sick. Actually every bad thing that happens in this world they blame on the Catholic Church.
How do the non Catholics on CAF respond to threads like this? Does anyone here agree with these opinions? If you do can you state your reasons.
I believe that this world is not of God in the sense of weather or other terrible crisis, after the fall I feel that God has given free reign over the earth to us and nature. Of course He does intercede at times, but I don’t believe God punishes us with natural disasters. We will all be accountable for our actions or non actions when our soul leaves our bodies.
Suffering is part of life. Jesus Christ suffered the ultimate suffering for the sake of the whole world. Do these people also feel He was being punished, if you use their logic I guess so. Because if you don’t agree with their beliefs you will be punished by God.
I just wondered how others on CAF would respond to these posters. I only lurk, don’t have the courage or fortitude to post. Sometimes I get a good laugh at their ignorance, but I also actually feel sick at some of their accusations against the Church and anyone who doesn’t agree with them.
