:doh2:This ain’t really a Catholic-only thing: biblical studies is literally founded upon arguments by scholars mainly over things which we laymen would just see as trivial or bizzare. I like to use this example as an illustration to show how ‘weird’ things can get, but there are people out there debating whether Paul meant ‘testicle’ when he said ‘covering’ in 1 Corinthians 11:15 (as one guy claims) or not.
