Fox will do ANYTHING for ratings, and this is it’s new low. (Video Below)

I just hope people won’t take this woman’s example as what christians are like. She must have been really mad about something!

((Two mothers with very different beliefs trade lives, leading to a dramatic homecoming, on the two-part season premiere of TRADING SPOUSES: MEET YOUR NEW MOMMY beginning Wednesday, Nov. 2 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Marguerite Perrin of Ponchatoula, LA, and Jeanne D’amico-Flisher of Boxborough, MA, trade places to try out the ultimate life change – leaving their families to take over a clan from another walk of life. As they meet each other’s families and instill their own set of rules, chaos ensues. Then, during the dramatic conclusion airing Wednesday, Nov. 9 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), viewers find out how each mom distributes the other family’s $50,000 prize and what caused one mom’s major meltdown after she returns home to her family. To see a sneak peek of the season premiere of TRADING SPOUSES, log on to www.fox.com. Perrin, a fiercely religious Christian, and her family are from Ponchatoula, LA – a town outside New Orleans. She and her husband Barry live with their two daughters, Ashley and Brooke, and their granddaughter, Ashley’s daughter Abigail. Perrin’s largest concern is with anyone who doesn’t have God in his or her life. She believes such people are lost and could negatively affect her children. A deeply devout and vocal woman, Perrin strives to ensure that only godly people are around her, having low tolerance for anyone she doesn’t think is worthy.))

New Low!

Thank you for posting that. I am now a member of Fileput, and have a place to host my Podcast.
Oh, and thank you for posting on the video. 🙂
Yours in Christ,
Thursday

the producers should have immediately aborted that whole show. That was horrible and sad. 😦
That poor family.

WOW , that Marguerite woman was acting like a total lunatic.Maybe she needs to be loicked away for awhile.I have only seen one other prson act like that before and she is still locked in an insane asylum.People like that are what causes people to go away from religeon.

I watched last night’s episode. I totally understand that mother wanting to “exorcise” her home after the presence of the other mom.

She is a hypnotherapist. She teaches feng shui and past life regressions. The Christian woman (I believe she may be Catholic as their dinner time grace was “Bless us O Lord…”) was exposed to a pentagram on the garage, a summer soltice party complete with drumming and a big bonfire with a ritual involving that, and a psychic.

After a week of New Age claptrap, I might lose it, too.

You know I really have to agree with you. When you first see the tape you’re like, what a psycho, (hence the “wacky” face in my previous post) but after watching the show I can see why she was so upset…the psychics and the past life stuff and oh, the solstice party, that was something. Ugh, I don’t know if I’d be able to stay there a whole 2 weeks. I’d be too creeped out.

(I was wondering if she was Catholic too, when she met the New Age-y dad at the airport she said something about praying to Jesus, Mary and Joseph to help her on her trip & stuff. Her and her friends seem Protestant but that’s a very odd thing for a Protestant to say, so I’m not sure.)

Of course though, the media is loving it, a chance to show Christians as acting like crazy people with no explanation as to why she feels that way behind it. And the way they showed Margureite’s christian friends as being stuck up and confrontational, if that’s how it really was I feel bad for the New age mom, they should have been a little softer in dealing with her, otherwise she’s just going to think worse of Christians, but I wouldn’t be surprised if a little creative editing was put in there too.

I saw the video the other day and all I could do is roll my eyes. I’ll never understand the appeal of Reality TV.

That promo is probably Fox’s way of getting back at the different Christian groups that have called out some of it’s programming.

While I understand why the mom would not want a hypnotherapist in her home, the fact of the matter is that she signed up to be on a reality TV show. Despite that, I would never worry about a non-Christian or any person who delves into the occult being in my house because I know God will protect me from anything evil. The ranting and raving IMHO was more for show than anything else. A BIG thumbs down to Fox for hyping up such nonsense and trying to make Christians look like lunatics.
