Well according the YouTube like/dislike barr

Out of 2,307 people that watched it

64 actually do.
5 don’t

As for the other 2238 that watched it, we will never know.

If anyone believes the youtube nonsense, I’ve got several bridges for sale! One from Manhattan to Brooklyn and back AND, one going across San Francisco Bay. Take your choice!
Many fundamentalists believe that the only correct translation is the King James Version. They just can’t seem to get pass the thee’s and thou’s.

His statement is ridiculous as later discoveries such as Codex Sinaiticus in the 19th century were earlier Greek manuscripts than the one that the KJV was based on and contains many errors in translation.

He refers to a passage calling Mary and Joseph as the mother and father of Jesus which cannot be, he claims, since Jesus Father is God not taking into consideration the earthly or human relationship of Mary and Joseph to Jesus. Of course Joseph is not the literal father of Jesus but assumed that position among the Jews for appearance sake.

Blessings to all

Near the beginning he says that the Douay Rheims version says, “father and mother” instead of Joseph and His mother", insisting that the Jesuits were stating that Joseph was Jesus’ father, and not God. The problem is that ‘father’ isn’t capitalized here.

Also, if you look at the bottom line in that photo of the bible in the video, Mary’s name is written as ‘MARY’. Don’t you think the Jesuits would have put ‘FATHER’ if they were trying to say that Joseph was Jesus’ true Father, and not God?

That’s as far as I got and I had to stop.

As an Assembly of God minister friend of mine said sarcastically - "Of course the King James Bible is the only correct one. God gave it to Adam and Eve on their way out of Eden. "😃

I can’t believe I gave that video another hit. Oh well I at least payed my respects with a “dislike”

Another example of book worship trumping the authentic worship of Jesus Christ.
They’re desperate for followers so they appeal to the weak minded with conspiracy-like exposés. I posted this in the comments. I doubt he allows it to stay.

In fact the KJV uses two different english words for the same single greek word for “sins”.
In verse 5:15, the verse directly before James 5:16 which is used in the video, the greek word for “sins” - hamartias - is translated in the KJV as “sins”. Then in the nest verse, James 5:16 used in the video, the greek word for “sins” - hamartias - is translated in the KJV as “faults”.

Why the different english words?

peterk

I noticed that he compares the Douay-Rheims and other translations with the King James Version, but never with the actual Greek.
