This, I’m afraid, is a strawman. Non-theists are not necessarily moral relativists, and theists are not necessarily moral absolutists. We are very much in agreement. Although the atheistiic minority should not be allowed to supplant the religiously-derived morality of the majority with relativism.
And what do you propose to do about conflicting moral codes derived from religion? Shall the majority rule, no matter what? If the largest religious group in the nation is Catholic, outlaw abortion – until the Episcopalians overtake it in numbers?
Remember that minorities have rights too, and these must be protected as much as those of the majority.
