I have been reading parts of “A Story of a Soul” and St. Faustina’s diary and am struck by the power of intercessional prayer on the salvation of souls, even if the soul is unable to make a conscious decision decision (i.e praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at the bedside of a dying person).
My understanding of the “usual” route to salvation is infusion of grace, baptism, followed by cooperation of the soul with that grace. In seems to my eye that the intercessional prayer described above can overcome any lackings in that above process. I’m I off on my understanding? It is caused by an extra infusion of grace that overwhelms the soul?
