I just finished a course in Theology of the Body. It was incredible! I learned so much about my faith, the purpose of the body and how to truly respect and love others… especially my husband. I have learned how to love him and honor him as a brother in Christ, which is good, but presents a struggle for me. I feel such an enormous amount of respect for him that I am having trouble even thinking about the marriage act. It is almost as though this respect prevents me from seeing him in a sexual way. I know that this is not the way it is supposed to be, but I am struggling anyway. Is this a common occurance? Are there any practical solutions?
