So you feel that such a loving God will punish these children for something they did not do? If so, then the entire universe is but a mere joke.
Huh? You start your question too far along in the process.

The aborted child is being given the death penalty merely for having been conceived. So your hypothetical question doesn’t even make it to the starting gate. God is not “punishing” the child; the will of the parent(s) and the abortionist are punishing the child.

One thing about the “going to hell for masturbating” thing: first of all, if anyone goes to hell, it’s not the Catholic Church that is putting them there, it is the individual person who turns away from God.

Second, the Catholic Church does not condemn anyone to hell. She’s got a long list of people who are saints, but I haven’t seen one name on any Catholic list of anyone who is in hell!

Actions against the moral law, God’s law, etc. are deemed serious enough to put a soul in jeopardy. The Church guides you into trying to amend evil actions, but you put yourself in hell if you keep doing these very dangerous things.

Quote:“Didn’t Jesus say that it would have been better for Judas to have never been born?”

Now you bring Judas into it. I believe Judas felt repentant for it (after the fact)(like most sins for us) when he threw the money away… and the sorrow felt drove him to hang himself. How contrite can one be?

And with abortion, before the fact the mother eye’s are on herself, but, (after the fact) they turn to the baby, and the sorrow begins to play with her mind/soul.

Both are similar, before and after. Judas to physical death, the mother (that wasn’t) to spiritual death.

To me, the jury is still out for Judas; but, it has returned the verdict on abortion.
