… Except this one!

I was just having a squiz at the Angelus at ourcatholicprayers.com/the-angelus.html and was wondering if anyone can tell me what the “V” and the “R” stand for in front of different parts of the prayer.

I’ve also seen various other letters while reading through the tridentine Mass: “M” and “S” among others. I assume one is the priest but as there is no explanation i’m somewhat confused.

Any takers?

Thanks in advance,

J
