I cannot wrap my head around how much God loves me no matter how many times I’ve hurt Him, others, and myself.

Do you feel the same?

Yes. I am often struck by His magnanimity in drawing me back to Him!

That’s because we do not understand the magnitude of God. I don’t believe we will ever be able to understand what He has for us. Limitations of love, forgiveness are human failings; let us not put our shortcomings on the Lord. I agree it’s hard to comprehend, though!

Actually, being a parent, and now grandparent, this is something that I do understand. God’s depth of love of course can’t be fully understood, but the sense of loving the unlovable or of forgiveness, that I think most parents ‘get’. When your child hurts you (and others), it is unbearably painful, BUT one doesn’t stop loving that child. I didn’t realize that until I was a parent, though.

Funny you should post this today. At Mass this morning, as I prayed “Lord, I am not worthy…” I go choked up just thinking about what the Lord has done for me…It is truly incomprehensible!

Since God loves us with infinite love, and we are finite creatures, we cannot fully comprehend how much He loves us until we join Him in Heaven. However, we are called to love each other in the same manner as Jesus did - that is, be willing to fully sacrifice ourselves, even to death, for His People.

That’s awesome. God works in mysterious ways. 🙂
