We know that nothing impure can enter heaven, and we know that Jesus taught that we will enter heaven if we keep the commandments.**The problem with this quote is that it does not elaborate on what the writer(s) meant by “perfect.” Does it mean sinless? **
Is there any reason to thing that those who follow the commandments are not?So, you think if you “follow the comandments of Christ” you are perfect? Are YOU perfect right now yourself? I’ve never met someone who thought they were perfect. “Quite clear”? Then he is clearly wrong.
"In the days of Herod, king of Judea, there was a priest named Zechari’ah, of the division of Abi’jah; and he had a wife of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. 6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.Luke 1:5-6
The Didache is Apostolic Teaching. But this revelation of God comes long before the Apostles:
" I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live, 20 loving the LORD your God, obeying his voice, and cleaving to him; for that means life to you and length of days, that you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them." Deut 30:19-20
There have always been the “Two Ways”. What is “wrong” with that? Do you think it is wrong for God to give humans a choice?
" For he will render to every man according to his works: 7 to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; 8 but for those who are factious and do not obey the truth, but obey wickedness, there will be wrath and fury. 9 There will be tribulation and distress for every human being who does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek, 10 but glory and honor and peace for every one who does good, the Jew first and also the Greek. 11 For God shows no partiality." Rom 2:5-11
Do you think God is “partial” to those who pray the sinner prayer, and believe they are saved forever, no matter what they do?
