I had a neighbor who had cancer, so I prayed the divine mercy chaplet for her. One night, I dreamt of her looking healthy and radiant. Shortly after that, I had another dream in which a stranger (probably an angel) approached me and said that this certain neighbor of mine had already died. I was in another city that time.

That same week (when I had the dream), I returned to my home city and was very surprised to have been informed by my mother that my neighbor had indeed died and there was an ongoing wake in her house! Somehow, those dreams assured me that after I had prayed the chaplet, the soul of my neighbor was already “taken care of.”

One time last year, I ate so many sweets that my tonsils began to hurt. I immediately prayed the divine mercy chaplet, asking Jesus to heal my tonsils. I woke up in the middle of the night with my tonsils so swollen and aching so badly that I planned to go to a doctor first thing in the morning.

Imagine my awe and delight to have discovered in the morning that my tonsils have returned to NORMAL, with no trace of swelling and pain whatsoever!!! Normally, tonsilitis needs 5-7 days of antibiotics to get healed. What happened was a miracle. Why did Jesus allow my tonsilitis to get REALLY worse before totally healing it? Maybe it was His way of saying that yes, it was indeed HIM who was at work, that there’s no limit to His power.

I have my share of painful struggles in life, but for eight years, I have never failed to pray the chaplet. Through it, my countless prayer intentions have been answered. It takes only about ten minutes to pray, and it pains me to have read here in CAF threads that some encounter difficulties in praying, or have lost the desire to pray.

What about YOU? How did the divine mercy chaplet help you? Did you have prayers that were answered by saying the chaplet? This chaplet is easy to pray, I hope that by responding to this topic, you would encourage those who are floundering in their faith to pray this chaplet which Jesus Himself taught to St. Faustina.

Thank you, Brittany. I hope it encouraged you to pray the divine mercy chaplet more, in case you are still not praying it daily. God bless!

8 years, wow! God must be rewarding you for your dedication!

Your post has really got me thinking. I have never actually said the chaplet for a particular intention before, I usually just like to pray for a different soul on every bead 🙂 Jesus promised that this Chaplet was a powerful form of prayer, so I should start praying for others needs and my own needs, and see the powerful intercession of God in my life.

Shalom, petite-reverie, my dear friend in CAF 🙂 yes, I highly encourage you to pray the chaplet for the needs of your loved ones and your own, since Jesus said to St. Faustina:

“Encourage souls to say the chaplet which I have given to you. It pleases Me to grant everything they ask of Me by saying the chaplet, if what they ask for will be compatible with my will.”

I presume a lot of CAF members think that the chaplet is only prayed for the dying or the souls in purgatory. I’m actually surprised why no one has yet responded to my question as to how the divine mercy chaplet has helped the members here. 😦

I agree, that’s what I thought too! Thank you for telling me otherwise! I will come back here and tell you if my intentions are answered 🙂

Wow, just wow. Jesus is so good to us ❤️ ❤️

I do pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet; although not nearly as often as you, and certainly less than I ought!! But I will say that it, and St. Faustina, have been sources of comfort for me this last year during major family upheavals. I even got a tattoo of “Jezu ufam Tobie” (Polish, for “Jesus, I trust in You”) on my wrist, so that I could look on it and remind myself as often as necessary! 🙂 ❤️

I just wanted to share a quick anecdote on this topic. I posted a prayer intention, to which MercyWarrior88 had responded, and we began a messaging dialog. At the moment that I received one of the first messages from her, in the afternoon, I felt a profound sense of peace and very specific healing that I was looking for - MercyWarrior88 let me know that it was at that time that she prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplet for me. I attribute this remarkable connection to her praying of the Divine Mercy Chaplet with my intention in mind, and I have begun praying it myself now. I do find peace in my day, typically around 3 o’clock in the afternoon. I attribute these feelings to the power of the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and it is my intention to continue praying the Chaplet. Thank you for all who have been praying for me and my healing, especially MercyWarrior88, Katie777 and Katherine438, and many others. God bless you all.

Just need to mention, the relief I felt at that time was so specific and profound that I actually asked MercyWarrior88 if there was a special prayer she had said for me at that time, about a day or two after the fact. It was very special.

Thank you so much, EVOO. I give the credit to JESUS who greatly inspires me to serve others selflessly. God bless you!

It was the power of Jesus through the divine mercy chaplet which gave you healing that time. Praise be to Him!

So, here’s my interesting experience.

I was a pretty new convert at the time. I didn’t really love the Divine Mercy devotion, in fact I thought if any Catholic prayer was like “vain repetition”, this was it. It comes on at 3:00 on Catholic radio, and I didn’t really like it.
Then once I was driving through the mountains of Kentucky on I-65. The radio station reception comes and goes. I was such a zealous new convert, I had written down the stations for Catholic radio so I could listen to it as much as possible on my drive. Anyway, as I was driving through those mountains of Kentucky, I heard the Divine Mercy chaplet, and it was being sung / chanted. It was a male voice (I think a priest), and then a group of women (sounded like nuns) sang the responses. I liked it sung (chanted) like that so much better - - I sang along as I drove. A little while later, I got a ping on my very old-fashioned cell phone (not a smart phone). I had gotten a text photo, of the guardian angel with the two children crossing the bridge. I remember thinking to myself, “How did those nuns know I was listening, and how did they get my phone number”?
I had no idea where the pic came from, and I never again received a picture message like that on my old Nokia phone.
I do like the Divine Mercy chaplet better now, but I should probably pray it more often…

Loud- living-dogma and Dina, thanks a lot for sharing your inspiring experiences on the divine mercy chaplet. April29, thank you for your comment. I will include you all as I pray the chaplet. Below are the messages of Jesus (given to St. Faustina) about the divine mercy chaplet:

“The souls that will say this chaplet will be embraced by My mercy during their lifetime and especially at the hour of their death.”

"When this chaplet is said by the bedside of a dying person, God’s anger is placated, and unfathomable mercy envelops the soul, and the very depths of His tender mercy will be moved for the sorrowful passion of His Son.’’

" Oh what great graces I will grant to souls who say the chaplet; the very depths of My tender mercy are stirred for the sake of those who say the chaplet."

“Encourage souls to say the chaplet which I have given to you. It pleases Me to grant everything they ask of Me by saying the chaplet, if what they ask for is compatible with my will.”

"When hardened sinners say the chaplet, I will fill their souls with peace, and the hour of their death will be a happy one.’’

“Suffering is a great grace; through suffering the soul becomes like the Savior; in suffering love becomes crystallised; the greater the suffering, the purer the love.” - St. Faustina Kowalska

You are not alone. I, too, went through a lot of problems and sufferings, but I have persevered in praying the chaplet, and Jesus answered my countless prayer intentions even in ways that were surprising to me.

I actually just discovered the chaplet prayer card at my church and grabbed one. I haven’t started it yet but your post inspires me!

Divine Mercy Sunday is coming up too!! I’m too excited

Misstherese, thank you, it’s heartwarming to know that my post has actually inspired you to start praying the powerful divine mercy chaplet.

Honestly, my Divine Mercy Sunday this year will be the most meaningful one yet as I’ve learned a lot from the CAF forum and I’ve gotten to know you members here. Really excited for it, too!!

Please pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet for me as well. I have a lot of stubborn ailments which refuse to go away and I’d like for them to be fully healed. While I understand that suffering can be sanctifying, I know my limits, and I can no longer bear this. I need Jesus to remove these burdens (all of them), however, in order for this to happen, I believe that I’ll need the prayers of another. Thank you.

Thank you for your post, TheNeutral. 🙂 I will be glad to pray the divine mercy chaplet for you. I will include you in my prayers from now on. I really hope Jesus would hear my prayers. I hope it’s His will to heal you of your ailments. No matter what happens, please keep the faith, be strong. God bless you!
