This thread for for posting those things which the Catholic and Orthodox Church have in common. Differences can be dicussed else where.

Things that come to mind are:

Mary is sinless
Veneration of saints and icons
Mary remained ever-Virgin
The belief the the Eucharist is truly the Body and Blood of Christ
The 7 Ecumenical Councils

Sacraments
Lectionary-based liturgy
Mass
Saints
Religious art (How did you put that beautiful icon as your avitar? I have a St. Benedict icon that I would like to use, but don’t know how to do a “custom” avitar.)
Chant
Monastic traditions
Jesus

We both believe in:

God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth,
Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
Born of the Virgin Mary
Suffered under Pontius, was crucified, and was buried
He descended into Hell (Hades), and on the third day, He rose from the dead, in fulfillment of the Scriptures
He ascended into heavem and sits at the right hand of God, the Father
From thence, He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
The Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life,
Who originates from the Father, (and proceeds from the Father and the Son),
With the Father and the Son, He is worshipped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets
One, Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins;
We look to the resurrection of the Dead, and the life of the world to come.

We share all the canonical Scriptures of the Latin Catholic Church in common (the bare acceptable minimum).

Deification of the Christian

Sacramental/incarnational theology

Distinction between the priesthood and the laity
