Firstly, let me explain why this question is late. In Australia, we have been occupied with the Year of Grace proclaimed by our Bishops, from Pentecost 2012 to Pentecost 2013. This involved quite a number of activities, daily and less frequently. That year has now been extended to include the Year of Faith. So, we are now in “The Year of Grace and Faith”.
I have been intending to do some research on the Year of Faith to participate, but so far my brief internet searches have not taken me straight to practical suggestions. Rather than delay further, I thought I’d put the question to the helpful people here.
Can someone please suggest practical things to do, in order to participate.
It would be most helpful if it were something I can start today, and keep doing every day, such as prayers and readings.
Suggestions for a few larger, less frequent things, would also be helpful.
And two specific questions:

And two specific questions:
- Is there a patron saint for the year of Faith?
- Are there any plenary indulgences, available to average Catholics (ie. not a pilgrimage to St Peter’s).
