God told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply. Eve was to have children in pain, but the point is she and Adam were supposed to conceive and bear children.

After all the years of watching mankind’s inhumanity to man, their sins and offences… in the fullness of time God chose his original creation (which He called “good” in the beginning) as the way to bring His son, Jesus, into the world. He didn’t create some new and “super nova” way to deliver Jesus, which He could have easily done. He wanted to show us, I think, that His original creation would never be obsolete… Look how much “WE” are worth!!! It’s awesome! Our God is an awesome God!

Nice observation.

However, we should never forget that pain in childbirth was not punishment for sin, but only the consequences of the punishment for sin.

So true, and people don’t want to believe the pain in the world has anything to do with OUR sins…
