Saint Benedict is one of my favorite Saints. In fact, I love him so much, that when I got to know about him, I practically immediately began to wear his medal, and each night I dedicate a prayer to him in his honor and for his powerful protection.

As a (secular) Franciscan who loves Francesco a great deal, I have to say that there would not have been a Francesco without a Benedict. Benedict was a genius, and probably saved Catholicism.

I love St. Benedict as well and have one of his medals blessed by that order. It’s such a lovely connection to the saint and the Holy Spirit.
