**THIRD SUNDAY OF EASTER
MASS IN EXTRAORDINARY FORM LIVE ** 2 hrs
Solemn High Mass of the Third Sunday of Easter in the Extraordinary Form. The Traditional Latin Mass from the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament.
4/6/2008 8:00 AM ET & 5:00 AM PT
I can’t wait! The TLMs that EWTN has held so far have been very beautiful and reverent.

I voted “yes” so that makes two of us so far.lol
Only I’ll have to wait till it’s archived so I can watch on my PC. Can’t receive EWTN on cable on the island yet.😦
You can watch EWTN live online anywhere.

Sorry, I don’t plan on watching it on TV, I plan on being there! 👍

So if it is an EF Mass, why is it being called the “**Third **Sunday OF Easter”, instead of the Second Sunday **AFTER **Easter, which is what the EF calls that Sunday??? 🤷

I have missed every TLM that EWTN has broadcast. I am going to set my DVR this time.

That’s a good question, and I don’t know the answer. However, who cares? The TLMs they have broadcast in the past have been wonderful and this one will be too. Give them a break.

It will be interesting to see if they mention that the 2nd Sunday after Easter is often refered to as Good Shepherd Sunday due to the following being the Gospel:

GOSPEL
John 10: 11-16

At that time Jesus said to the Pharisees: I am the good Shepherd. The good Shepherd giveth his life for his sheep. But the hireling, and he that is not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming and leaveth the sheep and flieth: and the wolf catcheth and scattereth the sheep: and the hireling flieth, because he is a hireling, and he hath no care for the sheep. I am the good Shepherd: and I know Mine, and Mine know Me, as the Father knoweth Me, and I know the Father: and I lay down My life for My sheep. And other sheep I have that are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear My voice, and there shall be one fold and one shepherd.

So if ya wanna go be at the Shrine by 7am local time?
I would say get there around 6:30, but no later, it kind of fills up fast.

God bless!

Also, there will be a TLM on April 2nd, 7am, it’s not being televised…For the Anniversary of JPII’s death. I was there yesterday and read it on an announcement, I’ll try to find something online as well.

So is the ban on televising the Mass ad orientum in that diocese been lifted, or does EWTN need a special indult for these masses?

Anyway, it’s good news! I’ll be watching.

This is something I’ve been wondering too, but seeing as how they have televised several Masses that have of course been celebrated ad orientem, perhaps they have a new understanding with the new bishop. It would be interesting to find out the answer to this question! Hopefully one day EWTN can have all their televised Masses celebrated ad orientem. I think that is the direction they are going in because they have recently changed the altar setup in their chapel to a more traditional style.

I think I’ll go…the High Rorate Mass was beautiful in December! Just hope gas prices aren’t to insane…
