This does scare me. I dont have a huge problem with IVF gender selection, but anyone whod abort a child because its not the gender they want has a problem. I wouldnt rule out an abortion if my kid had a very serious problem, but not for things like a predisposition to something or a clef palate or something minor. im afraid people will take it too far.

We don’t kow why things happen as they do only GOD does. But, maybe, the child that is born with a major problem is the one that the cure was found with. Maybe that child was the one to find the cure. Sometimes I wonder if maybe we killed the child that would have cured cancer or HIV or any number of things. Some of our greatest minds have come from poor families or families with medical histories that would “justify” abortion in someones mind.

We talk about designer babies. But, whose design man’s or GOD’s.

How do we value one new life over another?
