My opposition to Old Covenant sacraments and Jewish tradition having any relevance in our New Covenant and Grace dispensed life with Christ, has led to many people replying with the “Jesus followed Jewish tradition and the law perfectly, so why wouldnt we now” argument. This is true and all. But I have some news folks. Jesus was called to live a life under the law so that His death would be the fulfillment thereof. He followed Jewish tradition, BECAUSE HE WAS A JEW. Simple really. Unless your a Jew, living a Jewish life seems a little contrary to the New Covenant life we are called to live. Yes without the law we would not know what sin was but Jesus was the end of the law to those who are led by the Holy Spirit. Galations 5 will clear that up for ya if youd like to take a look. By living the dogmatic and tediously ritualized life that, as far as i know, the catholic church lives, you are saying that what God, in His New Covenant with us, is not sufficient and that we have to revert to OT tradition. I love ya guys I just think your a lil silly.
