I’m not Catholic, but I hope you don’t mind if I butt in with my own piece of advice and you can do with it what you want.
I know you’re not technically Catholic yet, but you’re *practically *Catholic and have every intention of following through with RCIA don’t you? I don’t think a priest would think you were dumb if you went ahead and inquired about it.
It might be a good idea to approach the priest or whoever, and say, “What can I be doing right now to help prepare me for the nunhood?” (isn’t that a great word? nunhood? I made it up

) Or sisterhood. Anyway, ask that and then do it, whether it be pray certain prayers or read certain books or research different orders. All those things you can do in preparation and I would venture to say it’s okay to do those things without being actually in the Church yet.
Then once you’re confirmed, ask once again if there’s anything
more you can do to prepare now that you’re a bona fide Catholic. Maybe hang out with some sisters or something.
I don’t think it’s dumb, Paris. You’re gonna be Catholic aren’t you? I’m sure whoever you talked to won’t roll their eyes and say,“You silly girl…you’re not even Catholic yet.” At least I hope not.
Anyways…my two cents. And lots and lots of blessings. You better stay around for a long time and tell us all about your experiences with the nunhood/sisterhood should you decide to do that.
