This video is from a revival (so they claim) in Florida. The woman in the video claims to be a prophet from God. I don’t think she is, I personally believe this to be demonic activity in action. While speaking verses from the bible her head shakes back and forth seemingly uncontrollably.

Please ignore the subtitles in the video.

Also, I’m not entirely sure if this video is safe for work, although there is no nudity or gore or violence in it, it is something that is very upsetting to watch because of how she is shaking her head back and forth like is is saying no. I’m posting this here because I’m not sure where this should go.

What do you make of the video?

It’s not easy or even possible for everyone to view a youtube video, so could you describe it as accurately as you can?

The woman on the video is on a stage. She is surrounded by other people presumably of the same faith as her. She is speaking Bible verses into a microphone. As she does so, she is shaking her head back and forth like somebody who is saying no but cannot control her movement. While she is saying Bible verses presumably from Numbers, she is also making a bizarre hissing sound.

There are subtitles from the person who posted the video that says:

“This is an example of false prophecy, doctrinal error, and probable brain damaging manifestations.”

The final subtitle says “This is one step away from apostasy” I don’t know what that term means.

From what I understand, the woman is considered to be a prophet by those people in the revival and there is some sort of controversy over the claim.

However, the person who doesn’t make the video doesn’t say what doctrine they are referring to, for example, is it Catholic doctrine or protestant doctrine.

But the only way to see what’s going on is to see the video.

I watched about ten seconds of it…then I had to look away. I swear that was probably one of the scariest things I have ever seen.

This has nothing to do with the Catholic Church. The tags on the video say Todd Bentley revival. You might want to contact this group directly to ask them about it. I don’t know that anyone here would have a clue…

Here’s their website:

I grew up going to Oral Roberts, Jimmy Swaggart, and other such revival tent meetings. I’ve seen cancers cured, the blind made to see, the lame jump up and walk, people “delivered” from smoking and drinking, and atheist instantaneously become committed believers. The vast majority of these folk are decent people trying their best to live a Christian life. I’m not so sure about the founders and leaders of such groups, I think there may be a “few” charlatans out there.

Todd Bentley is MOST DEFINITELY NOT CATHOLIC! A lot of my protestant friends have been talking about him. Bentley is claiming to be a prophet and to be bringing a revival to the Christian Church. The problem is, demonstrations such as those shown in the YouTube video and others like it, have lead a lot of people (including myself) that the revival is a demonic revival. Bentley claims to be getting his messages from two “angels.” There are a lot of people claiming to be converted and to be healed, but I don’t know how much that can be trusted. There are many people I know who simply cannot watch the videos because there is such a strong sense of evil in them.

The most recent video on YouTube ( youtube.com/watch?v=pOrC4OsjPqM ) is REALLY disturbing. Bentley says a “seer” has told him there is a war in the “spirit realm” with “witches & warlocks” trying to close his PORTAL to heaven. Then by the end he says “the people who don’t understand” the supernatural “are fighting against us. I have to keep telling my testimony in order to keep the access.”

Frankly, I don’t know ANYBODY who is truly Christian to use language like this. “Spirit realm?” “PORTALS” to Heaven? That’s the kind of language I’ve heard New Agers, Wiccans, and other pagans use – never a Christian and certainly never from one who claimed to be a prophet of Jesus Christ! If he were truly a prophet from G_D, then opposition by any “spirit realm” would not matter – G_D’s message would come through.

I believe Todd Bentley’s “Lakeside Revival” or “Florida Revival” to be one of the most spiritually dangerous things occurring in America today. If not demonic in origin then it is certainly heading that way.

I don’t know if it is demonic in origin, but I certainly agree it becomes a tool of Satan to lead Christians away from the Church and to believe and practice contrary to God’s Truth.
