This is nothing major compared to others: my weight

Greetings!!!

Well, I go to mass every Sunday and holy days of obligation, of course 🙂 . I adore the Blessed Sacrament at least once a week for at least 30 minutes as my schedule allows. I do say Breviary at least once a day. I pray the Divine Mercy and the Rosary either on or from work. I do this all under the direction of my Spiritual Director, but I probably should do more.

As for exercise, I go dancing 2-3 times a week. I go to the gym. I walk, etc etc.

I have read every one of your comments and feel instantly better. I wrote the prayer requests at one of my “dark moments” that everyone has once in a while, right? I just thank the Lord, for good people like all of you who stopped and said a word or two.

Yes, I get those dark moments too and feel depressed and wish things would be better. I think we all go through that. I am glad your better and it sounds like you are on the right track with your spiritual life. Only you and the Lord know if he wants you to do more. He could be asking for more or not, I don’t know, but He will let you know. He could be asking you to give up something or take up something. Your spiritual director could help in that area.

I will keep you in my prayers. I recommend trying to pray the rosary daily. It does wonders!

I too am overweight and over-and-above that I am short too. So I feel it with you and can comprehend all of the emotions
I too had spinal fusion twice in 5 years and I really feel the strain of my weight specifically on my feet.

Drink water! Drink lot’s of water, good, clean, filtered water. One of the major contributing factors of obesity, as I understand it it a lack of proper hydration. Again, as I understand it, When we don’t drink enough good water then our bodies are not flushing out the bad chemicals and toxins that we take in (hundreds of toxins are ingested everyday). When we take in toxins, the body tries to protect itself by surrounding/coating these toxic substances with fat.

So drink LOTS of water. They say, at a minimum, to drink 1/2 of your weight in ounces, but again, make sure it’s good, filtered water (not from the tap or a well).
