irritated!! i read an “explanation” of the false predictions of the watchtower regarding the end times written by a jw. he stated that the society never made any predictions, only interpretations of the end time. yeah right! i specifically recall as a jw when discussing 1975 with a woman i was studying with told me they don’t like to talk about 1975. well, if it was only an “interpretation” and not a prediction, then why would she have skirted the issue when i brought it up? and why was she uncomfortable discussing it? if it is just an interpretation as that one chap claims it was, then they have nothing to be crabby about when someone brings up the failed
“interpretations” of the end do they?
we can interpret things, doesn’t mean we are right, but we can interpret things. i get so dismayed when i see them trying to cover over their failures with easily explained words so that their members are blinded again. the woman who had been calling upon me demanded me to prove to her beyond a shadow of a doubt that the society indeed stated that 1975 would be the year armageddon would strike. i said, gladly!
i have found proof and they even state in their own publications that there were reports of “brothers” selling their homes and giving up everything as the end was expected or anticipated to arrive because the so called creative years since adam had ended. well, if they did not predict it, then why were so many “brothers” selling their homes and not taking high paying jobs or building a career? duh. because they expected 1975 to bring about armageddon that is why! and also, why would they have need of a career is armageddon was to happen in 1975 anyways?
remember dear sisters and brothers, it was ONLY interpretation!! ( err whatever
) don’t bother to be dismayed with the society dear brothers and sisters because it was only interpretation! don’t mind the fact dear brothers and sisters, that 1 million witnesses left us because of the interpretation! baloney! if it was just interpretation, and a guess, why did so many leave? uhhhh because you made a false prophecy DEAR governing body and THAT is WHY they left!
same thing about the generation of 1914! oh dear brothers and sisters, that was ONLY interpretation!!! it wasn’t a prophecy! baloney! it was so! if it wasn’t a prophecy, then WHY would they have put the little quote about the generation in the old magazines and suddenly change it in the 90’s?
DUH. hogwash! ever read the little quote inside the watchtower magazine in the center on top left page? someone refresh my memory please as to what it stated. please post it here. they make lying fools out of themselves. prophecy is predicting coming events, intepretation is different. not a prophecy! man, how they love to mince words! how they love to use simple words to cover over the truth!! denial is the longest river in Egypt! ( dear brothers and sisters )
