This may be seemingly Silly but how would the church response to alien life

how would, by the encounter of alien life( say Like some Martians, come down to Earth) either wanting to convert to Christianity or that we found out that Christianity has spread by a space church and these aliens were called something like space-Christians (google translate could have in Armenian according to Google Translate “Գալակտիկայում”) how would this end up, would the church embrace or not? A question on the situation of the Church.

I believe the pope said he would baptize a Martian if he wanted to be baptized.

It opens up theological questions such as are they a fallen race, are they descendants of Adam, does Jesus’ work cover them? Etc.

the idea alone of them actually being christian when they come to Earth would be a mystery. If so, would they been the result of aliens for centuries looking at the Christians in Search of God? Or the result of a type of twelve alien believers?

Those theological questions do have solutions. Even on ancient CAF threads.

We might want to find out why they think they need a savior. I mean if they have rational immortal souls, do they have preternatural powers? Did they fall from Grace? Just what is their relationship with God like? If they need a savior maybe the Second Person of the Trinity should take on their flesh and dwell with them on their planet.

Did they experience some cosmic effect that the fall of humanity caused? They can’t have our original sin. It belongs to us. Get your own.

I think I read somewhere that there is a committee in the Vatican formulating the
Church’s response in case we are contacted by an alien race.
Can anyone verify this?

I’m not aware of a committee like that. I don’t doubt they might have one. It would be interesting to know what’s in their plan if there is a committee.
