Let’s say a man were to put on high heels or female slippers or a female would put on male shoes, is that still considered cross dressing or is it only when it is a major part of your clothing?

Yes, I certainly would consider it to be cross dressing.

Heels on a man are cross dressing I think…why else wear them? Slippers and men’s shoes aren’t as obvious, unless they ARE obvious. For example, I have a female relative who is tall and has rather large feet - she has sometimes bought men’s running shoes because her choices are so limited in women’s sizes, if she can even find her size at most stores. I suppose a circumstance could arise when a man might need to have a more open-type slipper for a foot problem and would maybe find a woman’s slipper more helpful - that in my mind would be a plain looking, utilitarian slipper for that purpose. I think the question here is WHY would a person be choosing to wear the item? If an honest answer is given and it isn’t for a situation similar to what I mentioned, I think it would have to most likely be cross dressing, or possibly some other issue that could be problematic for the individual.

Men, absolutely.

Women, nope - or at least depends on the reason. I wear men’s shoes, for two reasons, they’re sturdier and women’s shoes don’t really fit me! Of course, I try to get shoes that look non-gender specific. If a woman is wearing them to be more “manly” then yeah, cross dressing.

It would depend on why you were putting on clothes normally worn by the opposite sex. If you worn them because you wanted to feel like a person of the opposite sex, then yes, it would be considered cross-dressing. But if your wearing them because there’s noting else, or because they were more practical, then no.

It also depends on when you’re wearing them. When I was growing up only women worn coats with hoods on them, except in the arctic regions. Nowadays hoods on men’s coats is quite common. And then, of course, there are Cuban heels on men’s shoes, so high heels aren’t exclusively for women.

I think to be considered cross-dressing would depend on the extent you had gone to. If you were a man fully kitted out on a woman’s dress, high heels and make-up then you would be a cross-dresser, but if were just wearing just a pair of high heel shoes you couldn’t really be called a cross-dresser - weird, perhaps, but a cross-dresser, no.

I think it’s still cross dressing. I mean why else would a guy were women’s shoes. This does lead me to another question. Is it sinful to cross dress for a play if it’s in humorous fashion. In high school I had to cross dress, but I kind of compare it to monty python where the point wasn’t to be sexual,it was to be funny. Is it still a sin though

Cross dressing isn’t a sin, unless, like anything else, the intention is sinful. What constitutes men’s clothing and women’s clothing is determined by convention and social custom, not by God’s commandments.

What’s the reason for cross dressing? Here we’re talking about a guy only wearing women’s heels. There is nothing comfortable about high heels. They look great on women. They make a woman’s leg look longer, make her taller, and show off the outfit.

But the above guy is in what? A suit? Lounging around the house in sweats? What does he get out of this?
