This was no insult to Islam

Well the Pope have done a great job in apologising to the Muslim, his message was condemning sin but his intention was not to create a stir. we cannot accept Sin but we have to forgive sinner
 
In his speech, Pope Benedict XVI has said nothing for which he needs to apologize.

So Islam doesn’t spread itself by the sword? I think there are many people who would be happy to dispute that, but they have been decapitated, and can no longer speak for themselves.

Note that neither the Moslems nor the media have objected to the statement that Islam spreads itself by the sword. They object to that activity being characterized as evil and inhuman.

It looks like history coalesced with modern day Islam to prove this emperor correct!

I will stick with the pope and state that Faith should be freely accepted with Christian love and not forced by the Islamic sword. Perhaps it is true that some misguided Christians tried to spread Faith with the sword like Islam, however, the pope has stated this is NOT the way to do it. Where is the Islamic leaders doing likewise? They’re not, their enticing people to hatred and violence.

Amazing how Islam can dish it out but not take it. Islamic terrorists bomb innocent women and children everyday but where is the public outcry in the Islamic world? Why they aim their outrage at any infidel even when he is trying to spread love and peace. How sad.😦

The Douay-Rheims has the word ‘infidel’ used in 1 Timothy 5:8.
 
Simple…if you people want to live in Islamic lands, you gotta confirm to Islamic rules but when Muslims go to our lands, they ask for the removal of the Christian symbols out of “respect” for the minority and dhimmi morons accept our of “respect” for all “religions”…meanwhile, Muslims breed, get into politics, build mosques and schools,ask for more “rights” and when they become a significant sum, they’d have achieved their goal : the islamization of the world . What would the West do about it?? that’s the question.

good one. Everything “Christian” offends Muslims, even a flag with a cross…even the Red Cross hence they put a hilal ( half moon) symbol on their Muslim cars.😃

Agreed. Today, the offense is in a statement quoted by the Pope (and taken out of context by the offendees); tomorrow, it will be the crucifix you wear around your neck, or your Miraculous medal, or your Bible, or the creche you display on your private property. Where does it stop?

From everything I have seen, they love an occassion to kill and cause destruction and they will use the slightest thing as an excuse - REAL peaceful, more like a pack of rabid animals who get frenzied out of instinct rather than rationalizing with their brains and loving with their heart.

tomorrow?? all what you mentioned is already there…it will stop when you stop Muslims from going to the “hated West”.

Dr. Mark Gabriel has much to say about this and other things. Catholic or not, if he doesn’t have some meaty credentials in this area I don’t know who would. I don’t post his writings out of consideration to the site. Easy enough to research if you care to.

Feel you, just please make the distinction between professor and professed. Not saying they are the same, or otherwise. See for yourself.

As to whether the types of people you refer to are acting in accordance to their faith or not, whatever that faith may be, I much prefer someone like that than another who is calculating, ‘conciliatory’, and ‘peaceful’ with the same agenda.

Same with racists. Better a snake on the carpet than one in the grass.

Simple. In Islam peace is two things. First, a tactic to buy time until one has the means to go to war. The other kind of peace comes, when you cut through the hogwash, with the global subjection of the world by, can you guess? Islam.

This is the ‘peace’ of a desert, of a wasteland. Please, would some Muslim apologist wo/man up and prove this wrong? Research the legal history of the ‘Blind Sheik’.
