Thomas Berry

Having heard and read of the new age movement and Gaia worship I was interested when I read of this man. Fr. Thomas Berry seems to have taught earth worship and religious syncretism. Is he accepted or heretical? He did a lot to promote environmentalism in
Catholic circles something though to me just seems wrong about him? Where his writings accepted by the church?

Do you have a source or reference? I’ve never heard of this person.

Strangely enough I was just reading an article in an on- line newspaper and one interest led to another when the name Fr. Thomas Berry came up. I immediately come to CA to find any info, this is one article I did find.

It seems as though he was heretical at least from an orthodox standpoint? Are his works accepted by the church?
