Ok, I am a convert 6 years this Easter Vigil.
I started reading the Summa about 4 years ago, and have gone through it only on my own.
I would LOVE to locate anywhere near me, but am unable to do so, that is not in a University or formal setting to discuss and learn more about Thomistic Theology.
Thus far, my search has yielded the following result, “…no, I don’t know anyone in our area who does that…”
There are, praise God, no shortage of other studies at my parish if I wish to go, but as I have stated, I can’t locate any sort of “theology” group where I can learn from someone qualified to teach me.
Are there such groups out there? Am I that odd in wanting to learn more about theology as a layman?
MUST one take a college credit type course to get such en education?
FTR, I am 50 and retired. Plenty of time, but am not willing to return to school for this…
