Those who arent Catholic is it bad to recieve the Eucharist

I was just wondering what will the Eucharist do if those who take it don’t believe in it or other don’t even know what it does for you?
 
I would say it depends on the person receiving communion. If they don’t know they should not be receiving then no sin has been commited. If the person knows they should not approach the Eucharist there culpabilty would vary. A non-catholic would be commiting a sin against charity for willfully receiving uninvited. A catholic receiving not properly disposed is commiting sacrilage.
