Being a chronic complainer is one of my crosses. The Lord re-set my perspective by allowing three cancers and ten years of constant treatment. To fellow cancer patients, I point out that one must be alive to have complaints.
Chronic complaining is a bad habit, can really set a person’s mind to negativity.
‘Whenever something disagreeable or displeasing happens to you, remember Christ crucified and be silent.’ - St John of the Cross
I find that complaining, even if my complaint is totally legitimate, starts me on a downward spiral of negativity and anxiety.
But if I find something to be grateful for , it siphons off the fear and negativity.
