Simply put, it’s making passes on your neighbors wife.

so if there is no flirting or doing anything about it, its not grave matter?

You can’t always help how you feel, but you can turn your eyes and thoughts away from her.
All crushes end eventually.
Get a woman of your own.

It means not trying to set up a situation where you’d have a chance with her.

I think fantasizing is the big thing. People think fantasy is innocent but it makes the other person an object in your mind and corrupts your relationship with them as a sister in Christ.

The coveting commandments are about what goes on in your heart. I think the flirting, setting up situations, etc are sins against “ thou shall not commit adultery”

Let’s face it - our neighbors end up knowing us - and we know them -
I’m not sure if it’s like that today though -
I often hear how no one even knows who their neighbors are anymore…
But we should look out one for another , property , etc.
There’s a trust that builds -
But God knows - #9 - is the source of sin and evil !

I wouldn’t say that.

Sin involves an interior act of the will. It is still a grave sin to commit the will to lustful thoughts or desires, even if one is not willing to carry them out exteriorly.
