Thoughts on the Chaplet of Divine Mercy

Jesus calming the storm while on the boat, Jesus healing the man with the withered hand, the healing of the woman with hemorrhages. Those are a few examples off the top of my head.
 
I don’t pray it because I can not “offer the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ” to Those Who already possesses it. And I never seen any quite convincing explanations of this part of the prayer.

Strange thoughts. Have you considered that this is exactly what we do at every Mass? We offer to God the entire Christ [body, blood, soul, and divinity], His entire essence, in our intention for those whom we offer the Mass. This prayer response is"May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for our good and the good of all His holy Church."

In this D.M. prayer, we don’t offer it to "those who already possess it, but to God. “Eternal Father, I offer YOU …” (sacrificially) "in “atonement for our sins, and those of the whole world.”

Yes, it appears as though some have difficulty understanding this part of the Chaplet.

I try to refer them to St. Faustina’s Diary then, to the section where the Chaplet came into being so that they can then have a better understanding of this. (See #474-#476 in the Diary of Divine Mercy in My Soul)

There are a couple of past threads here on the forum where some of us have tried to answer similar comments/questions for others regarding the Chaplet.

I personally feel that it helps to at least read the Diary–or at least refer to it–so that one can have a better understanding of the Chaplet, or praying the Chaplet then. 🙂
 
We often pray in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. We pray as one.

So…
In the name of Holy Mother Church who approved this Chaplet and devotion, you would instruct the Church that they are totally in error and should therefore disallow this prayer, since you find no value, understanding, or devotion in it? Nobody is forcing you to pray it - to each, their own devotions.

And where are my instructions? 😃 I just answered the specific question of the topic starter “Do you pray it” and added why.
 
Yes, I pray this devotion.

I find it helpful to pray the main prayer 50 times because it helps me to meditate on the gift of Jesus’ passion and on the gift of the Father’s Mercy.
