Seriously?!?!?

You’re equating gay people with murderers?

Your comments here reinforce every single negative stereotype of Christians and bring shame to the cause of Christ.

When people want to claim that Christians hate gay people, they’ll use comments like yours as evidence.

Calling them sodomites isn’t going to win any souls either. :blackeye:
Your argument is not with me. I’m only pointing out Holy Scripture. Take your argument to God, He wrote it…

The sins on that list aren’t actually all of the same severity. Certainly lying isn’t as bad as murder. Further, the quote states, “and whatever else is opposed to sound teaching.” If sodomy = murder = lying = whatever else, then we’re all in much more serious trouble than anyone realizes. The Church certainly doesn’t regard all sins as being equally bad.

Otherwise, eating too much at a Thanksgiving dinner (gluttony) would send you to eternal damnation just the same as would committing genocide.

I don’t have an argument with God, I have an argument with someone who avoids responsibility for his own words.

Unless, of course, God wrote your entire post. And I know He didn’t because it was totally void of compassion and totally full of your own ego. Compare what you wrote and your attitude towards gay people to the Popes. He would have compassion and charity. You did not.

Your comments bring shame to the cause of Christ and you still don’t get my point.

So I give up. :banghead:

I’m sure you’ll want the last word, so go ahead. I’m done.

My point exactly. I still don’t think he’ll get it though. Self-righteousness is very blinding.

One might also compare what this individual wrote/said to what the Pope would say.

Would the Pope call gay people “Sodomites”? No, because he’s smart enough to know that would close the door to an opportunity to evangelize.

What do you think he would say if you called some gay people sodomites right in front of him? Do you think he would approve?

Would he have compassion on a woman who had an abortion or would he open the conversation by calling her a murderer?

OK, I quit. :banghead:

And I think this is what a lot of people are worried about.

Funny how most of the people who REALLY know how to run the Church are too busy posting their opinions on internet forums, huh?

I think that those who are worried about it are few in number, but large in ego.
