I read the article. Everyday I see the ambivalence and ambiguity of not just christians in general but a lot of catholics. It is sad.
I do my part especially with catholics, by teaching, preaching and living my catholicism daily and everywhere.
Lead by example.
I’m with you on this matter…“as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord”…

The part when the article stated that six out of ten Catholics believed that God was impersonal…that made me sad.

I think a lot of people, writers of this article included, do not know the dictionary meaning of the word “tolerant”. If I tolerate you and your beliefs that means I grant you and your beliefs the right to exist, it does not mean I admit your beliefs have equal weight with mine, or that both are equally true. In fact if our beliefs contradict each other, to say they are equally true is a logical fallacy, but since logic is no longer allowed in public debate in this country, it is not surprising to find journalists and social researchers ignorant of the concept.

Yeah…it’s complex. In one sense, tolerance is a sign of ‘progress’, but in another, it represents a compromise of the foundational ideals of Christian Civilization. Personally, I consider non-Catholic religions wrong, and incapable of saving Mankind, including Judaism.
