Thousands evacuated in Lourdes bomb scare

I hate to say it but with the spread of Islam…I start to think they could be behind this…
and their own have jusified me in thinking this way…If they would not like people thinking this way about their religion…maybe they should somehow get the extremists under control somehow.
 
I wouldn’t jump to that conclusion there are plenty of secularists in France who totally despise Catholicism and could just as easily have made the telephone call.
 
If we can’t get Mel and his racist Dad’s form of Catholicism (which is actually a schism, though you wouldn’t know it from the media who persists in calling them both devout Catholics), under control, then I doubt Islam and its variety of denominations can get their nutcases under control. Its the same argument the media has about the pedophile scandals, “Why can’t the Pope get that under control?”

Islam, like the Catholic Church does not have the central control from the “top” that people claim.

It is sad that we assume (and not rarely find) that every bomb is an Islam attack. Likewise, it is sad that the world assumes every pedophile act by a religious leader has a Catholic Priest at fault.
 
My first thought upon reading the story was ETA. Lourdes is just on the edge of the French Basque Country, and could well be within ETA’s sphere of operations. However, the more I look at it, the more I begin to think that it may just have been one lunatic acting alone, aiming to cause maximum disruption. I think that any Islamic links are rather unlikely.
 
It was probably a practical joker. What kind of a lunatic would be sane enough to phone in a bomb threat? Still, I can only imagine what was going through the minds of the pilgrims during the evacuation.

I read about this the other day. I thought I posted in this thread but apparently my post is not in here. Anyway, I hope they catch the woman/man who did this and charge her/him with conspiracy to commit terrorism or some other charge that will send her/him to prison.
