No one on Earth knows how vast the mercy of our Lord is, so I think it would be foolish of anyone to suggest that they think that ALL gays, or ALL of any particular group for that matter, will go to hell. That is a judgement only God can make, and for us to try is overly presumptuous. Certainly some can be held responsible for their actions, but I am certain that there are some who are truly ignorant and will receive mercy if they ask. However, I think it is also incredibly foolish for anyone to suggest that they know what Jesus “would be saying today”. That seems to me to be just as judgemental and presumptuous as saying ALL homosexuals will go to hell. I think we should be content to know what Jesus *actually said * to a repentant sinner: “…neither do I condemn thee: Go and sin no more.”I just can’t accept anymore that all active homosexuals will go to hell. This may not jive with Church and Biblical teaching but when you consider that the majority of those who do go into it come from abusive fathers or broken families I don’t believe they cn be held responsible for their actions. I can hear Jesus today saying gays and lesbians are entering the kingdom before you.
