Threatened livelihood

I left a secure job with permanent status and Union protection in a labor friendly state about two years ago to raise my infant son in a “better” environment…just in time for my wife to divorce me and for my son to grow up in a broken home.

Now, the machiavellian harpies against whom I had long been protected (and against whom I protected others as a Union rep) are sinking their claws into me as I long feared would happen. My son’s mother may soon lose her job as well or at least quit it. Her parents will not help and mine live two time zones away. God is the only one who can save us, but my prayers won’t count for much at least until I can get to Confession, which won’t be for a week due to the child care schedule. I need help from people who are closer to God than I am. I have already prayed for the intercession of St. Jude.

I took some solace from running across a Bible opened to Psalms 53 to 55:18 yesterday when the second round of all this storm hit. Coincidence or minor miracle? I don’t know what God wants for me any more and I don’t even know what/how to ask. I greatly appreciate any prayers you can lift up, even if it’s just a simple impromptu, ad-libbed thought for which you don’t even hit reply.
