How come more Priest’s aren’t discussing the Three Days of Darkness? Was not Padre Pio’s prophecy warning enough? Are the times were living in today not threatening enough?

Do you mean preaching on it at mass? They are supposed to speak on the bible readings and doctrine and how to live a Christian life. Speaking on private revelations would not be permitted or appropriate at mass.

Or, I m ight add, on CAF.

i don’t think your email address is a link to info on TDD

**If Padre Pio’s prophecy is warning enough, what’s the use in discussing it? 😃 **

Instead of worrying about three days of darkness, worry about the state of your soul, as to whether or not you are in sanctifying grace. That should be your focus. That is mine.

Although many saints have talked of the three days of darkness and it is a valid prophecy through others, I know of no book, nor serious website
including the many official ones that attribute the
TDD prophecy to Padre Pio. I have seen some sites
have a Padre Pio quote on the TDD but as I stated there is no Padre Pio expert, no mainline site, no biography on him, etc who attributes this to him.

The other less reputable sites it seems like to post what they find but are incapable of validating it.

**Good point, Fr. Deacon Edward.

Why do so many people who call themselves “traditional” or “conservative” go into tales of gloom, doom, and rumors of boom?

I see the same tendancy among “Bible-believing” evangelicals and fundamentalists.**

Having read some about the “three days of darkness”, what I got from it was the need to be spiritually prepared…as in the state of one’s soul. Some of the things mentioned one was to have “on hand” were things I think most practicing Catholics have or should have in their home or on themselves to begin with; Brown Scapular, Miraculous Medals, Crucifixes, and Blessed Candles. With the recent storms and natural disasters around North America, having extra non-perishable food, bottled water, and Blessed Candles in your home seems like a good idea for everyone, regardless of your belief in this prophecy. My take is that it all goes back to “being prepared”, which is what Jesus told us in Sacred Scripture, and, as Deacon Ed posted, the state of our souls should be paramount in our concerns and efforts. Please keep me in your prayers that I may do just that!🙂

As one who lived in Pensacola during Hurricane Ivan, I would also suggest that MREs are good to have in the case of a natural disaster.

Just make sure you don’t get all the same kind. Our college handed out “Gravy Steak” MREs exclusively. Good the first time, after that–Blech.

Hey, Ghost8108
Code:
YOUR right look at all the chaos we are living in the last days. Our lady hast told me the same prophecy from St. Padre Pio. That there will be three days of darkness and to prepare yourselves with a cross and the only lighting will be traditional blessed candles, have holy water, and say your rosary, even she told me to supply myself with canned foods and a way to cook the food like a old fashion wood burner and but your cans on that. And to not look out side or call or watch anything and just pray pray pray. She even said to have holy communion to me. And she told me that these days are coming quickly you are warned.  I know we are in the last days. Just look at the events on the news. SO MUCH DRAMA AND CHAOS!!!!! Our lady told me the same thing that she told Padre Pio!

Whatever the Lord pleases He does, on heaven and on earth, in the seas and all deeps. Ps. 135 👋 :highprayer: :gopray2:

MY JESUS, I TRUST IN YOU…

No, they are NOT threatening enough. At least, not any more then the run up to The Great War, World War 2, The Black Death, the Great Indian Ocean Tsunami, and just about any 10 year period since 33 AD.

Do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God.
