It’s especially unbelievable because in the past couple years Archbishop Vigneron has mentioned ‘vulnerable adults’ alongside minors as needing protection within the Church. But with this case it seems he didn’t live up to his own words.

There’s another instance where it seemed the Church here in Detroit wasn’t interested in protecting vulnerable adults from predation. But I won’t go into that despite it being an open secret in the archdiocese. Suffice it to say that seminarians were left to their own devices.
 
John Doe 2 will sue and win easily. He was clearly terminated without any human resources file history.
I hope Church hierarchy is reformed soon including a serious look at welcoming married priests.

The culture. Church hierarchy is formed in a particular culture.
Ok so my daughter works in human resources and has employees in several plants in N America. This kind of broken culture would never see the light of day tomorrow morning. There would be immediate changes and people who were resistant would be out on the sidewalk looking for jobs.

Christians should have a higher standard. I find it interesting that Christ angrily rearranging the temple only applies to certain theological and disciplinary preferences.

Reform the culture. Look at all. legitimate. options. that will open the doors wide and let the light of day in.
