A few weeks ago we found out that we were pregnant. My wife had her first ultrasound yesterday and ladies and gentlemen…we’re having triplets!!! I gotta tell you that I’m still a little numb. I’ve never seen my wife so excited, and our families are practically backflipping through the halls (although when I first told my mom on the phone, I’m pretty sure that she stopped breathing for a few seconds 
)
I have to tell you though (as unlike when we first found out that we were expecting a few weeks back, we both failed miserably at keeping this one a secret
), some people were very rude when they found out. It was unintentional and at least partially in jest I’m sure, but I got some “I’m so sorry” or “I feel really bad for you” responses. Some people even asked if I was going to have a vasectomy, and reacted as if something were wrong with me when I said that I wasn’t. Actually, pretty much everyone assumed that we were going to begin using some form of birth control, which kind of irritated me…
Nevertheless, our families and close friends were ecstatic and we’re still on the high that comes before the terror sinks in. As all pregnancies above twins are considered high risk, there’s still quite a bit that could go wrong. Please keep us in your prayers with the hope that everything goes smoothly and we give birth to 3 healthy children in the spring. Thanks.

She was 5’5" and weighed 108 lbs before she got pregnant with the twins.
